The
Automatic Kitchen Hood Fire Suppression System (KH-6) is a pre-engineered, UL-listed life-safety system designed exclusively for commercial cooking environments. It provides instantaneous, automatic response to grease fires originating in fryers, griddles, ranges, and charbroilers. The system activates within seconds, cutting the fuel supply and deploying a wet chemical agent that cools flames and creates a saponifying layer to prevent re-ignition.

- Fully Automatic Activation: Fusible alloy links (165°F/74°C) melt in the presence of heat, triggering the system without human intervention, 24/7.
- Wet Chemical Agent (Potassium Acetate): Specifically formulated to combat cooking oil/grease (Class K) fires. It cools rapidly and creates a foam blanket that seals the fuel surface.
- Integrated Fuel Shut-Off: Automatically cuts off the gas or electric supply to cooking appliances via a solenoid valve upon activation.
- Multi-Nozzle Coverage: Strategically placed nozzles protect the cooking appliance surface, plenum, and ductwork for complete coverage.
- Manual Backup Activation: Includes a manual pull station for emergency activation if the automatic system is triggered or for use before it activates.

System Components & Operation:
- Detection: Heat from a fire melts the fusible link in the detector line.
- Activation: The broken link releases pressure, triggering the agent cylinder valve and the fuel shut-off.
- Suppression: Agent is propelled through piping and discharged uniformly from nozzles over the hazard area.
- Containment: The system suppresses the fire at the source and prevents it from spreading through the exhaust duct.
